Veronica's father, Keith (Just Shoot Me's Enrico Colantoni), then sheriff, was removed from office for naming Lilly's rich father as the lead suspect, and Veronica was ostracized by her friends, including her boyfriend, Duncan Kane (Teddy Dunn) — Lilly's brother. Veronica must negotiate high school like any average teenage girl and she bravely maneuvers through classes, joined by fellow outcast Wallace Fennel (Percy Daggs III). At night, Veronica assists her father's private investigator business, all the while searching for evidence to clear her father's name and regain her status at school — but what she finds may tear the town of Neptune apart.
